Powell Schools Foundation
Supporting the Tradition of Excellence
The Powell schools foundation is a non-profit
corporation organized to encourage the involvement and financial support of
alumni, friends, faculty, and staff. The Foundation’s goal is to perpetuate
excellence in education and to benefit students.
Through private gifts, the Foundation is able to enhance school programs over
and above state funding levels, help students, and provide meaningful support
for future projects as they arise. A major gift from a Powell High School
alumnus provided the catalyst to organize the Powell Schools Foundation.
Gifts are accepted and appreciated year-round. You may choose to
give in memory or in honor of someone special in your life. If you
provide the appropriate information, the Foundation will send a
letter to the family, or the person being honored, acknowledging
your gift.

You can integrate charitable gifts into your financial, tax, and estate planning objectives, maximizing benefits to both you and the Powell Schools. You may wish to consider funding a Named Endowed Scholarship. Endowed funds can be placed in trust forever – with only the interest used annually. Call if you’d like more information about endowing a Named Scholarship. Let us help you explore the generous tax benefits available to major donors. Or you can simply name the Powell Schools Foundation as a beneficiary in your will.
Annual Gifts and Memorial Donations
Get involved now to make a difference
The Annual Campaign takes place each fall and your annual gifts are needed
and greatly appreciated. Donors may choose from the following four funds:
*Academic Fund - your gift to the Academic Fund will allow the Foundation to
respond to special academic needs as they arise.
*Athletic Fund – gifts to the Athletic Fund will help continue a long
tradition of competitive excellence for which Powel is known.
*Scholarship Fund – your gift to the Scholarship Fund will support Powell
students who wish to further their education.
*Special Projects – currently includes the Bronze Panther Project and the
Electronic Information Sign.
