Curiosity about the world comes naturally to children.
That is why we strive to expose children to a variety of new and exciting
experiences. The program provides students in grades K-5 with chances
to unwind, explore and experiment, discover new ideas, work cooperatively in
small groups, and enjoy large group activities.
When given the opportunity to make good choices, students can build their
problem-solving skills while they learn to respect differences and similarities
within their own communities. In
today’s challenging and complex world, children need continual reinforcement of
positive values, even when they’re away from home.
Our school district incorporates the values of caring, honesty, respect, and
responsibility into play, learning, and social activities. This, combined with
daily outdoor activities, gives
school-age children the time and opportunity to exercise and strengthen their
continually growing bodies and minds.
This is our district’s contribution to countering our nation’s growing epidemic
of childhood obesity. Students should have a “brain break.” These core
components give all children a
variety of activities to choose from during their after-school time with us. The
activities are
age-appropriate,
recreational, and fun!
How the Program Works
Every afternoon from Monday-Thursday, students will be released from school and head to the gym at their school where they can experience something new and exciting each day.
The early-release Wednesdays will be fun-filled days of field trips
and great things to do.
